Marshal McReal Principal Marshal, a Garde Capital co‐founder, began his career in the investment industry in 1985 as an associate with Drexel Burnham Lambert, and later joined Salomon Smith Barney. During his tenure at Smith Barney, Marshal managed institutional municipal fixed‐income relationships as well as high-net-worth private accounts. In 1996, Marshal assumed a role managing corporate client and stock option related accounts. In 1999, Marshal was named a Corporate Client Group Director, and handled 144 and section 16 officer and director transactions. Mr. McReal later joined Goldman, Sachs & Co. as a Vice President, where he served as an advisor to ultra‐high‐net‐worth individuals, families and foundations. Marshal graduated from Whitman College and earned his MBA from Cambridge. A dedicated community contributor, he has served on the boards of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Washington, The Henry Art Gallery, and as multi-term Chair of the Finance Committee for St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral. Currently, he serves on the investment committee for the Hodges Diocesan Investment Fund and as an overseer of Whitman College.
