Leo van Dorp Vice President Leo was born, raised and educated in the Netherlands and moved to the US in 1993. He has an extensive corporate finance and commerce background that dates back to 1984 and includes international treasury management, mergers and acquisitions, business planning and divisional management. He co‐founded two companies, both of which still exist. Leo joined Garde Capital from UBS in 2015, focusing on providing wealth management solutions to high net worth individuals, families, trusts, not-for-profits and corporate retirement plans. Many of his clients have international financial situations, such as non‐US citizens living in the US, or as dual-citizens living abroad. Leo is the Honorary Consul for The Netherlands, covering Washington, Idaho and Montana. In the Netherlands, he was Chairman of the Dutch Contender Association (representing the International Contender sailing class) and a member of the Olympic Sailing Committee of the Royal Dutch Yacht Racing Association. He was a twice national champion sailor and is an avid cyclist, boater and skier. He has two sons and a daughter.
