Rey enjoys sharing insights from his years of experience and dedicated study of capital markets and financial planning.

Rey earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation in 2009, focusing on capital markets, investment analysis, and portfolio management. In addition, he holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designations, both emphasizing wealth planning for high-net-worth families. Each of these certifications requires a rigorous course of study, qualification exams, and an ongoing commitment to ethical conduct and lifelong learning.

Rey began his career advising institutional investors on portfolio and risk allocation in the early 2000s. In 2007, he transitioned to private wealth management at Parametric Portfolio Associates in Seattle, WA, where he managed portfolios for high-net-worth families and developed tax-efficient investment strategies. Before joining Garde, he served as Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Bank of America Private Bank, taught graduate-level investment courses at Seattle University, and served as a board member for the CFA Society of Seattle.
